Oatmeal Bliss Balls

Time: 15 minutes

Serves: Makes approximately ten 1.5-inch balls

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats

  • 1/4 cup instant oats

  • 1/4 cup nut butter

  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

  • 1 teaspoon flaxseeds

  • splash of water or almond milk

  • (optional) dark chocolate bits

  • (optional) 1 scoop vegan protein powder

Directions:

  1. Measure out dry ingredients and combine in mixing bowl.

  2. Using hands or a spatula, mix in nut butter (I used peanut butter for the bliss balls pictured) and a bit of liquid. The consistency should be firm yet gooey, like cookie dough.

  3. Roll out dough to make balls’ diameter slightly larger a silver dollar. Place in sealed container and refrigerate.

This recipe can be modified with various add-ins, like coconut flakes, raisins, or additional seasoning from cinnamon or agave. I find that protein powder and PB add enough flavor for me, but modify to appeal to your tastes!
