Category: High-Quality American (variety)
Price Range: $$$$$ (5 $ being most expensive)
Location: Downtown Charleston, SC (one of three locations)
Who it’s for: They advertise as a restaurant that appeals to those who are vegetarian, vegan, or GF eaters, and I agree…to an extent. I really enjoyed my meal, but it was the only vegan dinner item for on the menu. I can’t speak for their lunch and dinner options, but if there’s only one thing to choose from it’s not much of a choice! However, I was impressed with the restaurant’s focus on recycling and locally-sourced ingredients.
What I’m ordering next: Unfortunately, it appears there are only one or two already-vegan items for each meal (breakfast/brunch, lunch, and dinner), though some vegetarian can be modified to be animal-free. Their juices and acai bowls look awesome though, I’m willing to make a trip back to try them!
Why I love it: With it’s central location and relaxed vibe, this is a great location to start off the night before bar-hopping or dancing in Charleston. This historical architecture and modern design was the perfect mix, and the omni-eater friends I went with were also satisfied with their meal (with an shrimp gnocchi and chicken marsala, which obviously I didn’t try).
