Midtown Manhattan is widely viewed as the financial and cultural epicenter of NYC and the U.S. overall. I was super psyched to try out vegan places that I had only seen on Instagram up to that point. Here are some highlights from my trip!
While I’ve been to NYC many times, a few months ago I got the chance to visit a friend and stay in their apartment. Staying in a neighborhood and having enough time to visit different local eateries was the perfect weekend trip, to walk and eat my way through Midtown.
It almost goes without saying that the food industry is majorly impacted by Covid-19 and its related restrictions. I can’t wait until things “return to normal” (whatever that is) and I can go back, but many local businesses and their workers need immediate relief to maintain unemployment benefits and eventually safely re-open. You can fill out this form to auto-generate a letter to your U.S. Senator asking that they help pass the Heroes Act.
I’m reminiscing on some of my favorite vegan food spots in Midtown Manhattan. If you’re in the area and able to do so, I recommend getting take-out or delivery to support these businesses! As of the date of this posting (7/31/20) all these restaurants offer online ordering, at a minimum. Others are open for pick- up or outdoor dining as well.

My order: So hard to choose! I ended up getting a pre-packaged watermelon juice that was easier to take on the subway and shopping, but their Blue Magic smoothie and Iron Man juice look delicious!
