John Hughes’s iconic rom com “Pretty in Pink” has been a longtime favorite of mine— the soundtrack, actors, and teenage angst is so relatable. Inspired by the colors of this movie, I made a classic and beautiful smoothie!

With only 7 whole-food and filling ingredients, this Pretty in Pink Smoothie is cost-effective and filling. I often eat it post-workout or before a busy day.

Time: 5 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon agave or vanilla for sweetness (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • .5 tablespoon PB2

Directions:

  1. Add ingredients to blender in order listed above. The liquid should be added in the middle level so it filters down to the harder, frozen ingredients. The chia seed and PB2 are smaller– placing them towards the top ensures they are fully mixed.
  2. Pulse until combined.
